Failover Procedures Implemented...

We have successfully implemented a full server fail over solution for one of our clients.  The clients requirements for high availability on their Sage and in house production systems mean that they could not afford to have these systems down for a prolonged period in event of system failure.  we have analysed their current systems and requirements and successfully implemented a high availability system, offsite and in budget!

Via virtual Servers (lowering hardware and running costs) they now have a system to provide server replication for these systems within 30 minutes of full system failure.

If you require high availability replication for your business or would like more information on this or any other services we provide please do not hesitate to contact us HERE

London's Calling...Again!!

Another weekend in London working alongside our sister company to manage and carry-out a complete office move of over 200 users in Apple's European Headquarters.

Monitoring and recording every aspect of the move was essential for us to ensure equipment was transported and setup correctly. From iMacs to telephones, everything was itemised for effeciency, speed and quality assurance.

Over the 3 days our team of movers, planners and IT proffesionals decommissioned over 200 workstations. Packed securely into moving crates, the equipment was then transported to a brand new floor setup by Apple to accommodate hundreds of users all within a short walk of each other. After an exhausting move the next job was to ensure every workstation had its relevent equipment and then had to be set back up ready for the employees arrival, ensuring we had every piece of hardware logged and checked allowed for this to be a stress free exersise.

All in all come Monday morning the arrival of the employees confirmed that being as particular as we were with itemising and logging each piece of equipment had paid off, no major issues, no lost equipment and all personal items were accounted for. After such a successful trip we are now awaiting the call to carry out many others in the future.

If you are planning an office move or would just like some information on the services we can offer please do not hesitate to contact us HERE

New backup options in the pipeline...

We are currently in the process of implementing a new backup procedure for our customers. The new software can be installed on the customers machines and set to send their backed up data directly to our remote server securely and safely. This service will be available as two options "managed" and "unmanaged" depending on what service the customer requires.

The software works like regular data backup software, but with one important difference. Instead of sending backups to a tape drive or other media attached to the computer it is backing up, the online backup software sends the backup over the Internet or other network connections to our backup server. It does this (usually) at night while computers are not being used. Backups can also be done on-demand, any time.

It is completely automatic. In fact, you may even forget it's working. Most businesses put their lives on the line every night and don't realize it. With businesses depending more and more on the data stored in their computers, proper backups are becoming much more critical.

If you are interested in our new online backup service or would like any other information please contact us HERE

August 2011:

This month we teamed up with our sister company to undertake works within the London based UK headquarters of Apple ©.

We managed a complete install of their new telecomunication systems, of which, were IP deskphones that networked with every other phone in the building, and being their sole UK headquarters we completed over 500 seperate installs.

Over two weekends we installed these systems over two floors, encountering some of Apple's main development areas including their iTunes & iPod departments.
